Bixi is a unified payment gateway that supports various wallets and payment service providers who operate in different fintech industries, such as mobile money transfer (MMT), card, and crypto, among others.

Bixi provides a unified payment experience for merchants and consumers, regardless of the payment method. This allows ecommerce services to accept payments from a broader range of customers, as they will no longer need to worry about vendor lock-ins or integrating with multiple payment service providers. Likewise, consumers will have a seamless and convenient payment experience, using their preferred payment method.

Bixi’s API is compliant with the JSON:API specification for client requests and server responses, abstracting away the underlying complexity of connecting to different payment service providers who use different technologies and specifications, and enabling developers to focus on the core business logic.

Bixi API endpoints require all requests to be authenticated and authorized, and these documentations assume that you have an active account in Bixi and that you can log in and generate API tokens to integrate the service within your client applications and be able to perform transactions through our system. Additionally, you are expected to accept our terms of service, privacy policy, as well as Somalia’s Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism Acts (2016).
